Gunkanjima, which means battleship islands, is an abandoned group of islands that is often referred to Ghost Island. Why? Because there's freaking nothing there but collapsing buildings and poor to none amenities. 35 years after its closure, Hashima, a part of Gunkanjima was open in 2009 for travel.

I'm also terribly impressed by Google's ambition to map out every part of the world, including this God-forsaken island. I'm not sure this will be the most fun assignment, but it'll be the most lonely. No one would be stopping to wave at this Google camera. Don't expect any night photos.
