I'm a big fan of Leica. As an advertising creative, branding is everything. And Leica's exorbitant prices are a result of that spectacular branding. So when Leica decided to open a store in Kyoto, I'm glad they went back to the roots of the city. Hand-made fans, hand-crafted wooden furniture, even a noren (Japanese store-front curtain), the store exudes the essence of quality, a big part of what Leica is about.
