As I got into privacy, I started purging all my Facebook events from my Activity Log until I hit a roadblock. There were some events that just wouldn't let me delete them.
I would click the delete button and it would show me a cryptic error message of “Query Error. Error performing query.”
I looked at the events that gave me the error and I spotted a pattern. They were events I hosted and I was not the only host. I suspected the at Facebook wouldn't let me delete an event that had another host.
Solution
- Go to the event page
- Click on the Edit button
- Click on the blue Next button twice
- Click on Event Settings
- Remove the other co-host
Now you should be able to delete the event. However, this doesn't work if the co-host is a group page. If you have the solution for this, please let me know in the comments below.
Solution 2
What if there isn't any other co-hosts? I noticed that if you use Facebook's limit old post feature, you might not be able delete an old event. What I did in this case was perform an action like RSVPing to the event or marking it as interested, and then you should be able to delete it from your Activity Log.

Hello.
I have multiple specific entries w/in my personal (i.e., non-business) FB Activity Log that I want deleted, but when deleting them (via desktop), they keep “returning” after refresh / restart, etc. – while other entries won’t delete, but instead just keep multiplying / self-replicating. As well, what if the three dots that should appear on the right side of a listed Log Activity (so that such can be clicked on, in order to select respective “Delete” option) do not appear? What then? Why would that happen, and how does one get them to appear, in order to access delete option, for such entries? Please note that I’ve already attempted reaching out directly to FB w/multiple requests for assistive support – all of which have gone and remain unanswered, and their on-screen Help & Support, Help Ctr. and Support Inbox resources have also proven to be completely useless and worthless in this regard, as well – so I am NOT looking for tech support that’s going to refer me back to ANY of them, as such has already proven to be a completely worthless, waste of time. But what I AM looking / hoping for, is someone with the knowledge, skills and ability, to be able to actually fix these issues for me, on my behalf, via remote access on screen support (with simultaneous phone consult) – as all of this is obviously, EXTREMELY frustrating . . . so am wondering if you may be able to point me to any “verifiably legitimate / authentic resources” that may be able to help in this regard, as extensive efforts to locate such on my own have thus far proven exceedingly fruitless (?) . Am seeking the best “verifiably legitimate / authentic,” low cost remote assistance that may be available in this regard, with payment, of course, contingent upon success. as I am disabled / low income. Please advise. Thank you.
