Many of you might have tuned in to the new variety show hosted by Yoo Jae Suk recently. The show has the regulars and guests encounter so-called popular places, only one of them is fake. The production crew goes through great lengths to create a perfect-looking set-up, and the guests have to guess the fake one. The Sixth Sense location list here will undoubtedly be a list of the most interesting places you can find in Korea.
Apart from guessing along with the cast, I watch it to note the different places and visit them when I travel to Korea. The real places featured are interesting places that you won't find in any guidebook. It was hard for me to find information on the places, but since I managed to do so, I've decided to share The Sixth Sense locations with anyone else looking.
If you are looking for a specific place you spotted on the show, find it in this list!

Episode 2
The theme for Episode 2 is about young CEOs who made it. While this isn't an episode specifically about food, it's interesting to see what companies these CEOs own.
This used to be an ad.
But no one likes ads, so I got rid of them. If my articles helped you, I ask for your support so I can continue to provide unbiased reviews and recommendations. Every cent donated through Patreon will go into improving the quality of this site.
The Sixth Sense Location #3: Pizza brand by KAIST student with 80 stores around the world

The Sixth Sense Location #4: Fashion brand CEO that started with the savings from his army and now owns five supercars

The third episode is about unique chicken restaurants.

Episode 4
This episode is about workouts that you've probably never heard of. Many of them involve out-of-this-world equipment and methods of workout. I would certainly love to give them a try if I ever visit Korea.
The Sixth Sense Location #7: Ancient Persian workout using spear and shield
I have to say, this one fooled me. This training originated from Persia soldiers and, to be honest, looked super awkward. The equipment looks so out-of-the-world that I couldn't believe they were real. This workout is still practiced in parts of Iran and India, and this is the first place that brought it to Korea.
This place is Soma and Body House of Strength (소마앤바디 힘의집).
The Sixth Sense Location #8: Super trendy workout from Europe
This one is much more believable since there are similar activities. It's a workout that has you wearing bouncy shoes and doing aerobics. It actually looks rather fun.
The place is Jumping Cheongna (인천점핑운동전문센터).
Episode 5
The fifth episode goes back to why I originally decided to create this post. It's about eccentric restaurants, and I would love to visit them on my trip to Korea.
The Sixth Sense Location #9: Jjamppong that cost $100
The first place of the episode is a Chinese restaurant in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, that serves a jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle) that costs $100. It was actually $109 (109,000 won), to be exact. It's made to serve up to five adults and contains many luxurious ingredients like abalone, octopus, and prawns.
While the restaurant owner admitted that it wasn't too popular, with only five sold because of the price, I would certainly love to give it a try.
This place is Daegimanseong (대기만성).
- Opening Hours 24 hours
- Address Manse-ro, Bijeon 1(il)-dong, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do
- Phone 031-618-8869

The Sixth Sense Location #10: Dish that's stacked 40cm high
This place serves a dish that is stacked 40cm high. While most ingredients are just bean sprouts, the 40cm height looks mainly for visual appeal.
This place is Jinju Cold Myeon Sanhong Main Store (진주냉면산홍 본점).

- Address 62, Geumsan-ro, Geumsan-myeon, Jinju-si, Gyeongnam

Episode 6
The sixth episode is about weird collectors. Since these are private collectors with collections not open to the public, no information is available.
Episode 7
The seventh episode chose the theme based on why many of us watch the show and read this article in this place. It covers hard-to-believe restaurants that would surely be a blast to visit when the pandemic settles.
The Sixth Sense Location #11: The restaurant that serves your meal with a story
This is a pretty interesting concept Chinese restaurant that presents your course meal, with each dish related to the theme of a movie. When the Sixth Sense cast visited, they matched the dishes with the story of Chungking Express. Each dish contains elements from the movie, with the owners dressing up and telling the story.
This place is Mong Joong Sik (몽중식).

The Sixth Sense Location #12: Luxurious coffee and dessert pairings
This is a cafe that looks almost like a high-end bar. The owner ran an advertising agency in the same building and wanted to have his own product. The cafe is armed with two baristas with over 10 years of experience and a Michelin 2-star chef. This definitely looks like a classy place to bring a date.
This place is Perlen (펠른). Note that this place is a reservation only.

Episode 8
What a short but sweet run it has been. After eight episodes, the show has decided to wrap up the season. Whether they will come back remains unknown, but I certainly enjoyed all the interesting places introduced in the show.
In line with the show's original concept, the last episode goes back to introducing eccentric restaurants that have us wondering how they could be real.
The Sixth Sense Location #13: Aquarium restaurant that you eat with fish swimming below you
This is an eel restaurant that has an aquarium below your feet. It's actually less impressive than it sounds, as it only covers part of the flooring since there is floor heating under the rest of the floor.
Gimmicks aside, the food here looks delicious, and I would be excited to check it out.

The Sixth Sense Location #14: A home-cooked meal in a restaurant with hints of life
The season's last place is a kalguksu restaurant that looks like a regular home, located next to a closed-down train station.
The interior resembles that of an average home, complete with a closet full of clothes. It gives you the feeling of going into a friend's, neighbor's, or grandmother's house.

The Sixth Sense Location #16: A $320 cake that is made with utmost care by an artisan
You probably were misled along with most of the cast since the cake here isn't a pastry but a cake made of meat! And it's made from only the finest grade and cuts of meat.
It's called Gangnam Hanwoo Flower Cake and costs a whopping 320,000 won (about US$278). This special cake is by reservation only, and you cannot order it in a walk-in.
Even at the price, the customers know that the meat is of high quality; thus, there were no complaints. The cake also serves six, so it is actually value for money. Even in the middle of the pandemic, it still gets about two reservations a month.
