Story

The Nyco Oxford is a heavyweight workhorse of a button down shirt, built around an interweaving of nature and technology.

With air forged nylon in the warp and cotton in the weft, our Nyco Oxford cloth mixes the simple strength of nylon and the familiar comfort of cotton. Classic cotton oxfords use thicker yarns in the weft and finer yarns in the warp. We replaced the finer cotton warp yarns with air forged nylon yarns of a similar thickness, bolstering overall strength and preserving the classic oxford feel. We topped it off with a light blazing of a bio-based C0 DWR for a cleaner and drier performance.

Perhaps this is best thought of as a 21st century piece of workwear. Clean and straightforward enough to wear to work in most offices, yet rugged enough to take a bit of a beating if some real work ever needs to get done.

Fabric

Nyco Oxford Cloth interweaves nature and technology to make for a sturdy, structured and breathable oxford cloth. With air forged nylon in the warp and cotton in the weft, it boasts the familiar comfort of a traditional workhorse cotton oxford cloth and the simple strength of nylon.

Classic cotton oxford cloths typically use two thicker yarns are in the weft and single finer yarns in the warp. We replaced these thinner cotton warp yarns with air forged nylon yarns of the same thickness, making for a classic feeling fabric with a bolstered strength. A light blazing of a bio-based C0 DWR helps keep it cleaner and drier.
